    The Teaching Experience Co-Ordinator (TEC) will oversee student placements for work-integrated learning (WIL) in schools. This essential role ensures students receive diverse, real-world teaching experience as part of their academic programmes.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Student Placement Management
      • Source and secure partnerships with schools for placements.
      • Assign students to appropriate schools based on their programmes and year of study.
      • Track placements to ensure students gain diverse experiences throughout their academic journey.
    2. Relationship Building
      • Collaborate with school principals, mentor teachers, and education stakeholders.
      • Maintain and update a database of schools and mentors.
      • Foster strong, professional relationships with partner schools.
    3. Support Teaching Supervisors
      • Identify and recruit teaching supervisors in consultation with the campus team.
      • Maintain a database of qualified supervisors for campus approval.
    4. Documentation and Communication
      • Manage all correspondence with schools and supervisors.
      • Prepare and distribute mentor teacher information packs.
      • Work closely with programme managers to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
    5. Additional Duties
      • Support workshops and other educational initiatives on campus.
      • Assist with tasks as identified by campus leadership.

    Competencies Required

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Problem-solving abilities.
    • Time management and organizational expertise.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • A friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to handle pressure effectively.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education:
      • Bachelor of Education Honours.
      • Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification, preferably including Mathematics.
    • Experience:
      • 2–3 years of lecturing or formal tutoring experience.
      • 1–3 years of experience in a specialized industry (advantageous).
    • Other Requirements:
      • Own car and valid driver’s license.

    Working Conditions
