Responsibilities
Interns in the Presidential Youth Programme will engage in a variety of tasks, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field of psychology and employment services. Here is a detailed breakdown of the responsibilities:
- Scheduling Appointments: Assist in setting up appointments for clients with Employment Counsellors.
- Documentation: Help maintain accurate records and files related to employment counselling sessions.
- Resource Management: Organize and manage counselling materials and resources, including brochures, pamphlets, and digital information.
- Labour Market Analysis: Gather and analyze data on current labour market trends to inform employment counselling strategies.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports summarizing research findings and suggesting improvements to counselling practices.
- Surveys and Questionnaires: Design and distribute surveys to understand job seekers’ needs and challenges, and compile the results for strategic planning.
- Job Postings: Assist in creating and posting job vacancies on various platforms, ensuring they reach a wide audience.
- Screening Applicants: Help screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for job openings.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and employers, and assist in the interview process.
- Feedback Collection: Gather and organize feedback from employers and candidates to improve the recruitment process.
- Outreach Programs: Assist in organizing outreach programs and workshops to promote the department’s services to the community.
- Profile Creation: Create detailed profiles for job seekers in the departmental database, including their qualifications and job preferences.
