    About the CIDB Internship Programme 2025

    The CIDB’s Internship Programme is designed to assist unemployed graduates in gaining the necessary skills and experience to enhance their employability in the job market. Successful applicants will have the chance to work in different departments of CIDB, depending on their field of study.

    The programme offers internships and graduate programmes across multiple disciplines, including research, construction industry performance, law, finance, ICT, internal audit, human resources, communications, facilities, and procurement development.

    Available Internship and Graduate Programmes

    Graduate Programmes (5-Year Contract, Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month)

    1. Research and Development (Job Ref: Grad/F05)
      • Qualification: Postgraduate (NQF 8) in Built Environment
      • Skills: Communication, critical thinking, research, time management
    2. Construction Industry Regulations (Job Ref: Grad/F003)
      • Qualification: Postgraduate (NQF 8) in Law or Commerce
      • Skills: Computer literacy, teamwork, ability to work under pressure
    3. Construction Industry Performance (Job Ref: Grad/F02)
      • Qualification: Postgraduate (NQF 8) in Built Environment
      • Interest in sustainable development, green building, energy and water efficiency

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the CIDB Internship Programme 2025, candidates must:

    • Be a South African citizen or permanent resident (with a valid South African ID)
    • Non-South Africans are not eligible to apply
    • Hold the required qualification for their chosen internship
    • Be unemployed and seeking work experience
    • Not have participated in an internship or graduate programme before
