    The Clientèle Royalty Bursary is designed to support students who wish to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at a South African university or institution. The bursary offers funding of up to R60,000 per year, which can cover the following study-related expenses:

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Full-time undergraduate students entering their first or second year of study in 2026.
    • South African citizens only.
    • Students not currently receiving any other bursary or financial aid.
    • Applicants must be planning to study at a SAQA-accredited South African university or institution.
    • A parent or legal guardian must be a Clientèle customer and on Tier 3, 4, or 5 for the duration of the bursary.

    Required Documents for Application

    To ensure a smooth application process, applicants are required to submit a complete application package that includes the following documents:

    • A certified copy of the South African ID.
    • Grade 11 final results (if currently in Matric) or a Matric certificate along with the latest academic record.
    • A completed application form, which can be requested from Clientèle offices or obtained via email.

    Applications must be submitted by the 30th of June 2025, so prospective applicants should ensure all documentation is completed and submitted by this date.

    The closing date for applications is 30 June 2025, and shortlisted candidates will be notified by 30 June 2025. Successful applicants will be required to confirm their university acceptance by 31 January 2026, and signed bursary contracts are due by the same date.

    The Interview and Selection Process

    Once applications are submitted, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview. For students who are not yet in university, a career assessment may also be required. This assessment will help determine the applicant’s alignment with their chosen field of study, ensuring that they are equipped for the academic challenges ahead.

    Upon successful selection, the recipient will enter into a formal bursary contract, outlining the terms and conditions of the funding. It is important to note that there are several rules attached to the bursary:

    • Academic Progress: Students must pass all subjects each year to continue receiving funding. Only two subject repeats are allowed.
    • Course Changes: Changing your course without prior written approval from the bursary office may result in the cancellation of the bursary.
    • Examination Results: Examination results must be sent to the Bursary Office after each semester.
    • Family Limitations: Only one bursary will be awarded per family.
