About the Financial Management internship
The position offers a two-year fixed-term contract with a basic annual salary of R100,000. Qualification Requirements
Applicants for the Financial Management Intern position must meet specific educational criteria:
- A Grade 12 certificate.
- An NQF Level 6 qualification in accounting, taxation, finance, or management accounting. The qualification must include a major in accounting (with a focus on accounting 3).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in analytical tasks and computer literacy.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
Key Performance Areas
As an intern, the primary responsibilities will include:
- Gaining exposure to various areas of financial management.
- Complying with financial management provisions in accordance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).
- Participating in the municipality’s learning and development program, which is aimed at equipping young professionals with the necessary skills for a successful career in public finance.
