Expenses Covered by the PSiRA Bursary

- Certificate studies at TVET institutions: Up to R25,000 (excluding VAT) annually.
- Undergraduate diploma or degree studies: Up to R45,000 (excluding VAT) annually.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the PSiRA bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: Applicants and their parents or legal guardians must be South African citizens.
- Connection to the private security sector: Applicants must be employed in the sector or have a parent registered as a security officer with PSiRA.
- Age: Applicants must be aged between 19 and 35.
- Education: A completed Matric certificate is mandatory.
- Full-time studies: Applicants must intend to study full-time towards a certificate or an undergraduate diploma or degree at an accredited and registered South African institution.
Postgraduate studies are not covered under this bursary programme.

To apply for the PSiRA bursary, candidates need to download and complete the PSiRA Bursary Application Form 2025. Applications must include the following supporting documents:
- Certified copy of the applicant’s ID (not older than three months).
- Proof of registration at an accredited institution for 2025.
- Certified copy of the parent or legal guardian’s ID (not older than three months).
- Proof of the parent or legal guardian’s PSiRA registration number.
All required documents must be submitted alongside the completed application form. Incomplete applications or missing documentation will result in disqualification.
