    1. Superintendent Security & VIP Services (L5)

    • Reference: RWCLM/PS/03/25
    • Basic Salary: R476,795.88 per annum (excluding benefits)
    • Department: Public Safety
    • Section: Security Services
    Minimum Requirements:
    • B Policing degree or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
    • Strong functional knowledge of VIP and security services.
    • Three to five years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform supervisory duties in the licenses’ services sub-section.
    • Conduct security-related duties, including VIP (Very Important Person) protection.
    • Handle administrative duties related to licensing services.
    • Coordinate and execute security projects aimed at community education.
    • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of security equipment.
    • Undertake human resource and administrative functions within the security department.

    This position is suited for individuals with prior experience in law enforcement or security services who possess leadership skills and the ability to manage security operations effectively.

    2. Traffic Prosecutor (PL7 X2) – Re-advertisement

    • Basic Salary: R384,943.44 per annum (excluding benefits)
    • Department: Law Enforcement and Traffic Administration
    Minimum Requirements:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Law or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
    • Diploma in Traffic Management.
    • Diploma or Certificate in Project Management (advantageous).
    • Diploma or Certificate in Management.
    • Code B/EB Driver’s License.
    • No criminal record.
    • Three to five years of experience as a Traffic Officer or Prosecutor.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Make impartial prosecutorial decisions on traffic offences.
    • Handle traffic fines and representations.
    • Understand and apply court procedures and protocols.
    • Execute additional instructions from senior prosecutors or magistrates.
    • Prepare court rolls and warrants.
    • Capture court results and maintain accurate records.
    • Administer all court-related duties related to traffic violations.
    • Liaise with key stakeholders, including the SAPS, NPA, and Justice Department.
    • Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports.
    • Represent the municipality in court or case review meetings.

    This role is ideal for law graduates with experience in traffic management, prosecution, and law enforcement procedures.

    3. Traffic Wardens (PL10 X5)

    • Reference: RWCLM/PS/05/25
    • Basic Salary: R232,692.24 per annum (excluding benefits)
    • Department: Law Enforcement and Traffic Administration
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • Knowledge of traffic laws.
    • Physically fit and able to perform field duties.
    • No criminal record.
    • No prior experience required.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Monitor traffic movements and road situations.
    • Patrol assigned areas and check for illegally parked vehicles.
    • Ensure enforcement of traffic laws.
    • Report irregularities and violations of traffic regulations.
    • Conduct awareness campaigns and educational programs on road safety.
    • Identify and suggest improvements for traffic problems.
    • Prevent and control traffic rule violations.
    • Check parking meters, road signs, and markings for maintenance requirements.
