Job Overview
The Sales Representative, New Business, Road Logistics position is a full-time role based at DSV Park Gauteng in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business while maintaining and growing existing client relationships. This role is ideal for an ambitious and dynamic individual with a passion for sales and logistics, as well as a proven track record in business development and key account management.
Key Responsibilities
The primary objective of the role is to drive sales growth by signing up new accounts and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The candidate will be expected to:
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
- Meet monthly and annual retention targets by managing and growing the existing customer base.
- Manage key accounts and ensure the smooth implementation of signed business agreements.
- Identify cross-silo solutions to offer clients comprehensive logistics services.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to C-level executives, showcasing DSV’s value proposition.
- Assist with tender management, proposal production, and business development strategies.
- Provide competitor and industry analysis to ensure strategic positioning in the market.
- Ensure all customer records are updated and maintained within the internal CRM system.
- Achieve expected client call ratios as per company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of client requests.
- Represent the DSV brand with professionalism and integrity.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following non-negotiable criteria:
- Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
- 2-3 years of senior key account management and new business sales experience.
- Proven ability to achieve new business targets.
- Experience in tender management and proposal production.
- Knowledge of cross-silo solutions and the ability to present at C-level.
- Understanding of the logistics industry and supply chain.
