Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Focus:
- Customer Growth & Revenue: Achieve customer growth, revenue, and collections targets as defined by the bank.
- Activity Metrics: Meet and exceed individual activity metrics for all product lines.
- Sales & Customer Targets: Meet, exceed, and effectively execute all sales and customer targets.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Implement the bank’s sales strategy for product and value-added services (upselling, cross-selling, capital take-up).
- Outbound Calling: Target both existing and prospective customers through outbound calls.
- Sales Opportunities Conversion: Convert sales opportunities from inbound customer requests, outbound calls, lead generation initiatives, and customer queries.
- Business Relationships: Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective customers to generate new business.
- Cross-Selling: Participate in cross-selling bank products.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain detailed tracking of pipeline management and prospect data and activities.
- Appointments & Presentations: Set up in-person visits, appointments, and presentations, following up telephonically where necessary.
- Financial Needs Analysis: Conduct professional financial needs analysis to make a needs-based sale.
- Customer Feedback Scheduling: Schedule customer feedback for obtaining documents and progress updates.
- Supervision Requirements: Adhere to supervision requirements for all financial products.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and present results to management.
- Cash & CAM Management: Ensure effective cash and CAM management with approved authorization.
- Credit Card Administration: Manage credit card administration and fulfillment with approved authorization.
2. Marketing Focus:
- Product & Service Awareness: Keep abreast of products, services, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
- Referral Opportunities: Identify referral opportunities in and around the branch.
- New Business Generation: Generate new business through marketing activities, promotions, telemarketing, and targeted customer initiatives.
- Community Support: Participate in events that support the community and increase business opportunities.
- Marketing Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities and initiatives adhere to policies and procedures.
3. Risk & Compliance Focus:
- Deal Quality: Ensure deal quality by accurately and timely reviewing and completing product applications.
- Policy Compliance: Comply with all policies and procedures related to customer interactions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and bank compliance policies.
- Incident Reporting: Report certain incidents and instances as required by regulatory requirements (AML).
- Fraud Reporting: Report all fraudulent behavior incidents and fraudulent indicator instances through the correct channels.
- Zero Defect Execution: Ensure zero defects in deal quality error rate and capturing income and expenses error rate.
- FAIS Compliance: Ensure compliance with FAIS journey inclusive of RE qualification parameters and guidelines.
4. Customer Service:
- Customer Service Standards: Ensure compliance with the bank’s customer service standards and relevant legislation.
- TCF Principles: Adhere to TCF principles.
- Accountability: Take accountability for behaviors and help team members enhance their ability to engage with customers.
- Financial Needs Satisfaction: Satisfy all customer financial needs and help them succeed financially.
- Application Quality: Ensure accountability for application quality and turnaround times, query resolutions, and solution creation for customers.
5. Training & Development:
- Sales/Service Development Training: Ensure on-going sales/service development training for deficiencies highlighted in developmental/coaching plans.
- Product & Services Training: Participate in and successfully complete all product and services training and developmental initiatives.
- Risk & Compliance Training: Participate in and successfully complete risk and compliance training initiatives.
6. Operational Activities:
- Security & Safety Procedures: Ensure compliance with all security and safety procedures, including opening and closing procedures, camera surveillance, branch security, robbery, fire drill procedures, and health and safety procedures.
- Admin Duties: Perform other admin-related duties as required by management.
Nature of the Role:
- Promoting and Selling: Promote and sell the bank’s product bouquet to clients through responsible sales activities.
- Sourcing Contacts: Source and develop new contacts/prospects and sales leads through internal leads campaigns and personal referrals.
