Role Overview
The Automation Test Analyst plays a critical role in the Quality Assurance team, focusing on automating test processes to ensure software applications meet high-quality standards. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Robot Framework to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts. By automating test cases, the analyst will significantly reduce manual testing efforts and enhance software reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Automated Test Development:
- Design, develop, and implement automated tests using Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
- Write clear and concise test scenarios that align with business requirements.
- Integrate automated tests for continuous testing and monitoring.
- Test Script Management:
- Maintain and update automated test scripts to keep them relevant and effective.
- Execute test scripts, analyze results, and report defects accurately using tools like JIRA.
- Collaboration and Strategy:
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and fellow QA team members to devise effective testing strategies.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor test results and address issues promptly to ensure consistent application performance.
- Continuously improve automated testing practices and introduce innovative solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing and Training:
- Stay updated with advancements in automation technologies and frameworks.
- Educate team members on quality and coding best practices.
Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- A relevant IT Tertiary Qualification or related experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Cucumber, Selenium, and Robot Framework.
- Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman for REST services, SOAP UI for SOAP services).
- Familiarity with PractiTest or similar test management tools for tracking test cases and reporting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and a solid understanding of version control systems.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
- Competence in database systems and technical troubleshooting.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
