1. Internship: Assets (Transport Department)
This role is best suited for graduates who hold a Diploma or Degree in:
- Accounting Sciences
- Management Accounting
- Financial Accounting
- Financial Management
- Or a related tertiary qualification
Key Duties Include:
- Capitalisation of movable assets across all seven regions within Johannesburg.
- Monitoring assets under construction (AUC) and work in progress (WIP).
- Performing physical verifications of both movable and immovable assets for auditing and completeness.
- Managing and updating the fixed assets register to reflect accurate records.
- Providing administrative support, including record keeping and documentation.
- Engaging in general office duties such as data entry, filing, and organising.
- Managing account payments and processing accruals using the SAP system.
- Assisting with insurance claim processes related to damaged or destroyed assets.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and supply chain management policies.
- Teamwork, attention to detail, and professionalism.
- A commitment to Batho Pele principles and ethical conduct.

2. Internship: Administrative Assistant (Group Corporate & Shared Services – GCSS)
This role targets graduates with a Diploma or Degree in:
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
- General Administration
- Management
- Or a related field
Key Duties Include:
- Offering full administrative and logistical support to the Strategic Management Support Branch.
- Coordinating day-to-day administrative requirements of the unit.
- Performing general clerical tasks to ensure smooth unit operations.
- Supporting the Strategic Management and Support Services with relevant data and documentation.
- Assisting in the preparation and collation of qualitative and quantitative data for official reporting.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Values-driven team collaboration and adherence to service delivery ethics.
