The primary purpose of the Collections Agent role is to process premium collection financial transactions accurately and timely. This includes reconciling and splitting accounts to ensure correct allocations, conducting investigations into queries, and troubleshooting problems.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) [NQF Level 04] in Finance, Economics, and Accounting.
- Additional Qualifications: Relevant experience in financial transactions and account reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
Process Management
- Align and integrate administrative support tasks and activities according to required response time, quality, and service delivery standards.
- Generate various documents and produce reports according to set standards and guidelines.
- Reconcile accounts and check for accuracy in line with procedural guidelines.
- Conduct daily system enrichments of all payments received into the stop order account.
- Investigate the root cause of process issues and implement new suggestions.
- Ensure accountability for own work quality, standards, and outputs related to policies, procedures, and defined processes.
- Identify problems proactively, apply known solutions, and escalate more difficult issues.
- Plan for task execution and adjust priorities as needed.
Customer Service
- Execute activities to ensure customer service delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations, aligned with Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) principles.
Financial Management
- Contribute to the effective and efficient administration of operational costs within budget and identify areas of financial risk for escalation.
- Identify payments received into Liberty’s stop order account for respective companies and follow up with the bank on unidentified payments.
- Confirm payments made by companies, keep records of communication and follow-ups, and conduct write-offs according to audit rules.
- Liaise with Finance and provide feedback on all outstanding amounts.
- Adhere to specified standards, policies, and procedures to prevent potential losses or wastage.

- Comply with set governance and compliance procedures and processes related to the area of work and continuously identify, rectify, and escalate risks where necessary.
