Job Description
As a Creditors Clerk, your primary responsibility will be managing and maintaining supplier accounts, ensuring that all invoices, credit notes, and payments are accurately processed. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Account Management: Create new supplier accounts and ensure accurate capturing and updating of supplier details on the ERP/Financial system.
- Invoice Verification & Processing: Verify and capture supplier invoicing and supporting documentation before linking them to company-approved GRNs.
- Payment Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate supplier payments.
- Stock Management & Reporting: Prepare weekly stock item checklists and report discrepancies to the Financial and Stores Manager.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly age analyses for all overdue accounts and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Petty Cash Management: Balance and control the petty cash and assist with relevant insurance-related claims.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Background: Completed Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar finance role. HVAC industry experience is advantageous.
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial principles, experience with ERP/Financial systems, and excellent organizational skills.
