Key Responsibilities
- Legal Representation: Provide high-quality legal representation to indigent accused persons in High Court criminal cases as part of the High Court Legal Practitioner Vacancy.
- Case Management: Handle complex criminal matters, ensuring meticulous preparation and representation.
- Training and Supervision: Mentor and supervise Candidate Attorneys, fostering their development and ensuring adherence to professional standards.

Minimum Requirements
- Qualifications: Must be an admitted Attorney or Advocate (Advocates must have completed pupillage at a recognized institution).
- Experience:
- At least seven years of post-qualification experience.
- Five years post-admission experience.
- Four years of High Court experience or six years of Regional Court criminal matters experience.
- Education: Possession of an LLB degree.
- Additional: A valid driver’s license is advantageous.

- Demonstrated success in handling complex criminal matters at the High Court level.
- Extensive experience in preparing and presenting cases with a high degree of professionalism.
- Authorized to appear and represent clients in the High Court, ensuring effective advocacy.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for effective courtroom presentations and client interactions.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents and correspondence.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues, identify key points, and develop effective strategies for case management.
- Critical thinking skills to evaluate evidence and anticipate potential legal challenges.
- Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, including Candidate Attorneys, to ensure cohesive and effective legal representation.
- Willingness to share knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
