Internal Audit Practitioner Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: A three-year NQF7 Degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting.
- Experience: Three years of full-time experience in internal auditing.
- Certification: Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors of South Africa (IIASA).
- Skills: Interpersonal skills, good communication, report writing, analytical skills, computer literacy, planning, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the public service, framework for strategic plans and annual performance plans, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (ISPPIA), and regulatory frameworks like PFMA, Public Service Regulations, and National Treasury Regulations.
Key Duties
- Assist in the development and review of internal audit plans, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct audit projects and compile draft audit reports.
- Coordinate audit committee activities, including providing Secretariat Services for Audit Committee meetings.
- Prepare draft internal audit performance reports for submission to relevant stakeholders and forums.
- Supervise clerical staff.
