Key Responsibilities
As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Campaign Coordination: Plan, implement, create, execute, monitor, and evaluate d-school Afrika’s academic and professional delegate recruitment campaigns using digital and traditional marketing tactics.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and consistent content for all mediums (digital and print), including the website, news/blog pages, brochures, newsletters, and emailers.
- Social Media Management: Coordinate and implement content plans for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) and manage community engagement.
- CRM Oversight: Oversee and manage the Customer Relationship System (CRM), updating student records, managing data lists, and providing insights to the marketing and communication manager.
- Event Coordination: Organize and manage events at the d-school Afrika, including external requests and internal events, sometimes outside of normal working hours.
- Reporting and Analysis: Report on and analyze the performance of all marketing campaigns.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this exciting position, you should have:
- Educational Qualifications: A Diploma in communication/marketing or a relevant NQF 6 qualification.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in coordinating end-to-end campaign management within the marketing and communications field.
- Skills:
- Copywriting and editing skills, basic design skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook at an intermediate level.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and digital tools (Dropbox, Google Suite, Survey Monkey, Everlytic, Mailchimp, CRM tools like Monday.com).
- Strong organizing and prioritizing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) professionally and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
