Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Valid section 13 Trade Test / Section 26(D) certificate
- Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
- Own transport to attend to call outs
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be familiar with risk assessment procedures
- Mobile Crane License will be an added advantage
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a qualified Rigger in a mineral processing plant
- Proficiency in English language
- Strong time management skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Rigging Equipment Installation: Install rigging equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on rigging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Inspection: Perform inspections of rigging gear and equipment, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
- Operational Support: Provide support in lifting and moving heavy machinery and materials within the plant.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operation and timely project completion.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of rigging operations, maintenance activities, and inspections.
