The learnership lasts for 12 months, and during this period, candidates will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and receive continuous support and mentorship.

    Role Responsibilities

The YES Learnership program offers a comprehensive overview of the various functions involved in the automotive aftermarket business. Below are some of the key responsibilities learners will be exposed to:

    1. Binning and Stock Management
Learners will be responsible for binning incoming merchandise and ensuring the replenishment of inventory from bulk storage to pick locations. Attention to detail is crucial, as learners will need to ensure new products are allocated to correct warehouse areas with updated bin location numbers. Additionally, they will assist in replenishment functions and ensure that incoming goods are received and checked according to company standards.
    2. Picking and Order Fulfillment
The picking of customer and branch orders will be another key responsibility. Learners will be required to pick stock from bulk locations to meet order cut-off times and ensure that stock is properly handled and packed to prevent breakage. They will also need to assist in the stock-taking procedures and ensure all operational targets are met.
    3. Scanner Control
Learners will gain exposure to scanner control, which includes issuing scanners to operators, inspecting returned scanners for damage, and ensuring they are booked back into stock correctly. Maintaining accurate records of scanner use and reporting any damage will also be part of their duties.
    4. General Warehouse Duties
Learners will assist with housekeeping and ensure that the warehouse is kept in a clean and organized state. They will also be expected to double-check orders to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and prevent inventory losses.
