Key Responsibilities
As a Production Supervisor at Grain Field Chickens, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees within your department. Your main duties will include:
- Team Management: Overseeing the day-to-day activities of your team to ensure productivity and efficiency. This involves training and mentoring staff to improve performance and ensuring that team members adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Production Planning and Execution: You will be responsible for operational planning and executing the production plan daily. This includes managing resources, optimizing labor, and ensuring that production targets are met at the lowest possible cost.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Educational Requirements: Grade 12 is essential. A Production-related qualification and a PME or PMI certificate are preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment, with specific experience in a poultry abattoir being highly advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety standards and experience in a processing plant environment.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to the role.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent people management, communication, and coordination skills.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and weekends as needed.
