The institution is currently seeking a Student Advisor (Undergraduate) to play a pivotal role in student recruitment, engagement, and admissions.

    About the Role

    The Student Advisor (Undergraduate) will report directly to the Head: Student Recruitment and will be responsible for engaging with prospective students, delivering impactful presentations, and guiding applicants through the registration process. The role requires a highly motivated and organized professional who can represent IIE Varsity College at various schools, career expos, and stakeholder events.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Presentation and Student Engagement

    A crucial aspect of the role involves visiting targeted schools to promote IIE Varsity College. The Student Advisor will:

    • Conduct engaging presentations, highlighting the benefits of studying at the institution.
    • Distribute marketing materials and interact with students to generate inquiries.
    • Represent the institution at career expos and external stakeholder events.
    • Meet monthly presentation targets, ensuring the institution reaches prospective students effectively.

    2. Database Collection

    To expand the institution’s outreach, the Student Advisor will be expected to:

    • Collect and maintain school databases to build a comprehensive network of prospective students.
    • Meet monthly database collection targets as part of a structured recruitment plan.

    3. Interviewing Prospective Students

    A key part of the recruitment process involves direct interaction with potential students. The Student Advisor will:

    • Conduct proactive outreach to prospective students via phone and email, scheduling interviews to meet daily and weekly interview targets.
    • Follow up on online applications, ensuring proof of payment and necessary documentation are in place.
    • Respond promptly to both online and telephonic inquiries.
    • Conduct structured interviews using a prepared script, establishing a strong rapport with students and their parents.
    • Achieve individual weekly, monthly, and annual interview targets.

    4. Application Processing

    To drive enrollments, the Student Advisor will be responsible for:

    • Assisting students with the online application process and ensuring successful application submissions during interviews.
    • Following up with applicants who have not yet completed their payment, encouraging timely completion.
    • Running calling campaigns to convert interviews into applications.
    • Encouraging the acceptance of applications and ensuring pre-registration fees are paid.
    • Meeting individual application targets on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

    5. Registration Conversion

    The ultimate goal of the recruitment process is to convert applications into registrations. The Student Advisor will:

    • Work closely with the campus team to drive application-to-registration conversion rates.
    • Support students throughout the process to ensure annual campus registration targets are met.

    6. Administrative and Reporting Duties

    To maintain an organized recruitment process, the Student Advisor will:

    • Keep accurate daily reports, including call logs, interview booking trackers, and CRM system updates.
    • Ensure all interview forms are correctly completed, with valid supporting documentation.
    • Update necessary systems and reports as required by the Head: Student Recruitment.

    Minimum Requirements

    To qualify for the role, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

    • National Diploma (NQF6) with at least 3 years of sales experience (preferred).
    • Alternatively, a National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

    Special Requirement

    • A valid driver’s license and own vehicle are essential for this role.
