    • National Certificate in Security Management or an equivalent qualification (1st year completed).
    • PSIRA Registration: Must be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) with a minimum Grade B certification.
    • Firearm Competency: A valid Firearm Competency Certificate is required.
    • Experience: At least 3 years of supervisory experience in Protection Services, Security, or a similar role, with in-depth knowledge as a Security Officer.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CCTV operations, alarm systems, and security processes.
    • Legislation Knowledge: A basic understanding of relevant legislation including the Criminal Procedures Act, Statute Law, Security Officers Act, Law of Evidence, Mine Health and Safety Act, and Labour Law.
    • Assessments: Willingness to undergo Behavioral and Firearm Competency Assessments.
    • Report Writing & Computer Literacy: Strong report writing skills and computer literacy.
    • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
    • Certificate of Fitness: Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness.

    • Security Diploma: Studying towards a Security-related National Diploma (NQF Level 7) will be an added advantage.
