Role and Responsibilities
The Barman will play a key role in delivering exceptional beverage service while adhering to the operating plans and budget goals outlined for the beverage department. - Service Excellence
- Deliver consistent and high-quality service according to pre-set standards.
- Prepare thoroughly for guest services, including maintaining confidence in food/menu descriptions and wine pairing recommendations.
- Stay informed about menu changes and guest dietary needs.
- Upselling and Beverage Presentation
- Suggest and recommend beverages to guests, driving sales and enhancing their dining experience.
- Ensure all beverage regulations and liquor laws are strictly followed.
- Manage beverage preparation, including creative presentation.
- Operational Support
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Participate in daily service meetings and provide input for improvement.
- Assist with ancillary duties such as minibar management, kids’ entertainment, and luggage handling when necessary.
- Stock Control and Hygiene
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring proper rotation and accounting for all beverages consumed.
- Maintain exceptional hygiene standards and knowledge of cleaning products used within the establishment.
