Key Focus Areas
Food & Beverage Service
- Prepare and set up all service venues and mise-en-place for efficient service.
- Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy.
- Adhere to service procedures, sales targets, and beverage department guidelines.
- Demonstrate confidence in food/menu descriptions and offer wine pairing recommendations.
- Stay informed about menu changes and cater to guests’ dietary requirements.
- Upsell and recommend beverages, ensuring compliance with liquor regulations.
- Maintain effective communication between the Kitchen and Service teams through daily service meetings.
- Ensure accurate stock control and accountability for all beverages consumed.
- Assist with minibar management, kids’ entertainment, and luggage handling when necessary.
General Service & Guest Care
- Gather comprehensive guest information before their arrival and during their stay.
- Record guest preferences and promptly report any complaints to supervisors and management.
Requirements
- Preferably Grade 12 qualification.
- Profound knowledge of F&B customer service standards in a luxury hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with wines, cocktails, and other beverages served.
- Understanding of food, cooking methods, and menu offerings.
- Basic grasp of stock rotation, control procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Competence in operating various equipment and appliances used in hospitality.
- Familiarity with property operations across all departments.
