Electrical Trade Assistant Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Electrical Trade Assistant Level 3 is to support electricians in ensuring all electrical and related equipment operates efficiently and complies with both manufacturer specifications and SANS regulations. This includes performing maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations while prioritizing safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
The role encompasses a variety of tasks that require precision, teamwork, and a proactive approach. The successful candidate will:
- Assist Artisans: Support electricians with cleaning, fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance of welding machines to ensure their optimal functionality.
- Manufacturing Electrical Gear: Play a role in producing various electrical equipment types, showcasing the ability to work with a range of tools and materials.
- Electrical Installations: Participate in the installation of electrical components in containers and buildings, ensuring work aligns with technical requirements.
- Construction DB Boards: Aid in the maintenance and manufacturing of construction distribution boards, which are critical to efficient energy distribution on-site.
- Maintain Tools and Appliances: Help clean, maintain, and repair portable electrical power tools and other appliances to ensure they remain in safe working order.
- General Support: Undertake additional tasks as needed, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to contribute to the broader team’s success.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
