Job Responsibilities
As an electrician at Media24, your role will be central to ensuring the seamless functioning of the company’s electrical systems. Below is a snapshot of what your day-to-day responsibilities might look like:
Core Duties:
- Electrical Maintenance:
- Regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building electrical systems.
- Adhering to safety standards and lockout protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Fault Detection and Repairs:
- Troubleshooting electrical systems, including three-phase controls.
- Ensuring electrical equipment, such as kitchen appliances, operates efficiently.
- General Building Maintenance:
- Fixing or replacing building fixtures and fittings as needed.
- Supporting contractors providing SLA (Service Level Agreement) services.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Keeping detailed records of completed work.
- Providing monthly maintenance reports and assisting in budget tracking.
- Team Collaboration:
- Partnering with the Property Manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Assisting with ad hoc requests and project support.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or N3 equivalent.
- Red Seal Certification and Three Phase Electrical Tester.
- A Wireman’s License (essential).
Experience:
- At least 5 years in the electrical field with exposure to building maintenance and safety protocols.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and building maintenance.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- A valid driver’s license.
