Primary Purpose of the Student Advisor Job
As a Student Advisor, your primary role will be to grow the IIE HSM brand and achieve targeted sales growth. You’ll work closely with students, parents, and stakeholders, promoting the school’s offerings and ensuring the institution’s values and policies are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Building the IIE HSM Brand
- Achieve sales targets set by the Branch Manager.
- Organize and participate in school visits, parent evenings, and career exhibitions as outlined in the marketing plan.
- Distribute marketing material to target markets.
- Coordinate PR functions with target markets in partnership with Head Office.
Student Recruitment
- Conduct interviews and handle enquiries from potential students.
- Recruit students from designated groups based on the marketing program.
- Represent the brand at career exhibitions and community events.
Administrative Excellence
- Complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.
- Ensure timely updates to EMS activities, including capturing and follow-ups.
- Attend weekly sales meetings and provide accurate reports and statistics.
Compliance and Policy Adherence
- Ensure compliance with legislative policies, financial processes, and IIE HSM code of conduct.
- Adhere to all IIE HSM academic and QA policies.
Community Engagement
- Participate in social responsibility initiatives and events that support IIE HSM’s carbon footprint reduction goals.
- Represent the values of the IIE HSM at community events and activities.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements
- Essential: A 3-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Preferred: Sales & Marketing Diploma.
Skills
- Strong telephone etiquette and customer service focus.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and planning abilities.
- Target-driven with the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years in a target-driven sales environment with presentations to various levels.
- At least 1 year of sales experience.
- Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
