This position is critical to our workshop team, focusing on the manufacturing and installation of projects, maintenance, shutdowns, and servicing the mining environment. The role requires a dynamic individual who can handle various responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Investigate, diagnose, and perform trade-related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements, standards, and specifications.
- Inspections: Conduct daily inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, operational and company standards. Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor.
- Equipment Construction and Installation: Develop, modify, construct, and install all types of trade-related equipment required for the safe operation of engineering equipment.
- Safety and Functionality: Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade-specific equipment and systems.
- Consultation: Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production.
- Support: Support the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels.
- Reporting: Ensure that maintenance-related information is recorded and reported to the relevant planning office to support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational and Certification Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent
- Trade Test Certificate: Valid Section 13 / Section 26(D) Trade Test Certificate is required
- Driver’s License: Valid code B, EB, or C1 driver’s license
- Transport: Own transport to attend to call-outs
Experience and Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Boilermaker in a processing/workshop environment.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills
- Mine Environment: Experience in maintenance and shutdowns in the mine environment
