False Bay College – Librarian Position Objective:
- Provide effective and efficient support for library and information resource center operations.
- Render frontline services in the bookshop and resource center to assist students and staff.
- Support independent research and facilitate learning by providing access to relevant resources.
- Perform cataloguing and classification tasks for books and other materials in the library.
- Issue books and resources to students and lecturers as per library policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Possess a Grade 12 qualification.
- Hold a recognized National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Management/Library or a Post Graduate Diploma in Library Science, or an equivalent qualification (NQF 6).
- Have 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in a library or resource center within the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) sector.
