    Purpose of the Role:

    The Fieldworker will ensure high performance in daily tasks and promote healthy customer relations, focusing on facility readiness and maintenance.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent NQF level/N4.
    • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
    • Technical Competencies:
      • Knowledge of the OH&S Act.
      • Basic writing and numeracy skills.
    • Skills and Competencies:
      • Customer service.
      • Effective communication.
      • Strong interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to build relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Construction Assistance: Help with the construction of retaining walls and fences.
    • Material Handling: Load, unload, and move structural materials around the work area.
    • Gardening and Grounds Maintenance: Maintain and plant gardens; keep grounds in good condition.
    • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery such as mowers and tractors.
    • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained.
    • Trenching: Dig trenches for piping, drains, and additional services.
    • Site Cleanup: Perform general site clean-up tasks.
    • Reporting Issues: Report machinery malfunctions and maintenance needs to the Operations Officer.
    • Contractor Liaison: Maintain continuous communication with specialized contractors, including plumbers and electricians.
    • Customer Requests: Address customer requests promptly.
    • Safety: Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
    • Training and Development: Engage in continuous training and development.
    • Goal Achievement: Achieve individual performance goals.
    • Additional Duties: Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
