The Maintenance Department at MA Automotive Tool and Die (PTY) Ltd is looking for a skilled and dedicated Fitter. The primary responsibility is to repair and maintain press machinery to ensure that both customer and company quality standards are met consistently. Key Performance Areas
- Maintenance and Repair: Repair and maintain press machinery to meet the required quality standards.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance as per the maintenance schedule, adhering to job cards and work instructions.
- Reporting: Compile and submit feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data, which will be forwarded to the Team Leader.
- Procedure Adherence: Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and quality systems at all times.
- Departmental Participation: Actively participate in the departmental mini-business activities as per company requirements.
- Safety and Quality Compliance: Ensure all work practices comply with the company’s SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) procedures and work instructions.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 certificate.
- Qualification: NQF Level 5 Qualified Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Millwright.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Fitter or Millwright within the automotive industry.
- Specific Experience: Hands-on experience working with hydraulic and mechanical press machinery.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Technical Techniques: Knowledge in technical maintenance and repair.
