Requirements:
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 qualification
- 3 to 5 years of driving experience
- Valid Code 10 (C) driver’s license with PDP (willing to renew at own expense)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) Act, Batho Pele Principles, and Government Fleet and transport policies (an advantage)
- Ability to perform routine tasks effectively
- Capability to work well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Sound human relations skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver clean linen and collect soiled linen from hospitals and clinics.
- Count linen bags before uploading and off-loading under the supervision of supervisors.
- Transport food to client hospitals.
- Inspect vehicle before and after each trip.
- Report any vehicle faults to the Transport Officer.
- Ensure vehicles are fumigated before and after every delivery.
- Adhere strictly to Health and Safety Policies.
- Follow transport policies and regulations.
- Maintain punctuality in all assignments.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
