Human Resources Assistant Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the HR department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support: Assist with the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and drafting offer letters.
- Employee Records: Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR documentation is up-to-date and compliant with Orion standards.
- Onboarding and Orientation: Assist in the onboarding process and orientation of new employees.
- Training Coordination: Coordinate employee training and development programs to ensure staff growth and development.
- Industrial Relations: Support all industrial relations processes, including performance management and disciplinary hearings.
- General Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department as needed.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of labour legislation and regulations.
- Other: A driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle are essential. The candidate must be willing to work longer hours and weekends when necessary.
