Key Responsibilities
As an Internal Sales Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and growing customer relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
Sales and Quotation Management
- Capturing sales quotes, pro-forma invoices, and sales proposals using JDE 9.1.
- Preparing and managing Material Requests (MRs) for local customers and outright purchases.
- Processing sales orders manually and via telephone.
Documentation and Administrative Support
- Creating purchase orders on JDE systems and forwarding commercial correspondence.
- Completing and filing all relevant documentation.
- Following up on routine documentation approvals and customer queries.
Customer Support
- Quoting standard and non-standard gases based on customer requests.
- Addressing queries on imports, exports, stock lists, and pricing.
- Managing general internal spec sales and administrative tasks.
Sales Team Assistance
- Providing support to Sales Engineers and the Sales Manager.
- Assisting regions with import mixtures, equipment, and canister inquiries.
Customer Interaction
- Proactively engaging with existing customers to strengthen relationships.
- Ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification
- Completed Matric/Grade 12.
- Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, customer service, and administration.
- Proven ability to negotiate and build strong customer relationships.
- Skills and Attributes
- Customer service-oriented in a commercial environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and administrative capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office packages; experience with JDE is advantageous.
