    Role Overview

    The Receptionist plays a critical role at SACAP, serving as the first point of contact for students, clients, staff, and other stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this individual ensures the campus operates seamlessly by managing communication channels, assisting with administrative tasks, and representing SACAP’s values of professionalism, warmth, and efficiency.

    The receptionist is expected to handle both telephonic and face-to-face interactions with a friendly, professional demeanor while offering administrative support across various operational areas of the campus.

    Key Responsibilities

    The receptionist’s daily duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Switchboard Management: Efficiently manage incoming calls, screen, and direct them to the relevant staff.
    • Visitor Management: Screen visitors courteously and guide them to the appropriate personnel or departments.
    • Communication: Distribute messages promptly via email or Skype to staff members and ensure voice messaging systems are updated.
    • Administrative Support: Provide typing, filing, printing, and other clerical support as delegated by management.
    • Supplies and Mail Management: Oversee office supplies, handle incoming and outgoing mail, and ensure proper distribution.
    • Parking and Access Control: Allocate parking spaces and manage access card distribution for staff and visitors.
    • Security: Maintain a secure and welcoming front desk environment.
    • Customer Service: Answer general inquiries with empathy and professionalism, ensuring visitors and callers feel valued.

    Qualifications and Experience

    To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

    • Educational Background: A National Senior Certificate (Matric).
    • Technical Proficiency: Competence in MS Office applications.
    • Professional Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in reception or customer service within a medium-sized enterprise.

    Work Schedule
