What to Expect During the Internship
As an ITS Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s IT infrastructure. Your tasks will include providing PC and User support, user account and mail administration, as well as co-ordinating the repairs and servicing of computer equipment. The focus will be on delivering fast and efficient PC and user support.
Key Responsibilities
Throughout the internship, you will gain hands-on experience in the following areas:
- End-User Support: Assist both on-site and remote users with applications and printer support.
- PC Support: Handle issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Equipment Coordination: Manage the repairs, servicing, and maintenance of computer equipment and software.
- Documentation: Create, maintain, and update technical documents and reports.
- Security Management: Implement virtual and physical security measures.
- Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 Certificate with relevant industry qualifications.
- Minimum of A+ and N+ Certification.
- Strong technical skills in the following areas:
- Windows Desktop and Server Management.
- Active Directory, MS Exchange, and MS Office.
- Network configuration, Security management, and Printer support.
- Proficient in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in inbound and outbound call handling.
- A team player with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in working within a Managed Services and 3rd Party Cloud Solution environment is highly regarded.
- Valid driver’s licence.
