Mechanic Job Description
As a Mechanic at Fidelity ADT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational effectiveness of our services by keeping our fleet in top condition. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to provide reliable security solutions to our clients. This role requires hands-on experience with both petrol and diesel vehicles, a solid understanding of workshop consumables and vehicle parts, and the ability to perform efficiently in a workshop environment. If you have a valid driver’s license, your own transport and tools, and auto electrical experience, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years of mechanical experience with both petrol and diesel vehicles
- Knowledge: Understanding of workshop consumables and vehicle parts
- Environment: Familiarity with the workshop environment
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Tools: Must own personal tools
- Skills: Auto electrical experience is required
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform services and repairs on all company vehicles
- Standby Duties: Available for after-hours and weekend duties
- Warranty Services: Handle services on company vehicles out of guarantee
- Efficient Repairs: Work promptly and efficiently in coordination with the Fleet Manager
- Problem Reporting: Inform the Fleet Manager/Technical Advisor about any repair/maintenance issues
- Major Repairs: Report major repair needs to the Fleet Manager for approval
- Test Drives: Conduct test drives post repairs/maintenance
- Standby Maintenance: Ensure availability for standby repairs and maintenance after hours and weekends
- Spares Reporting: Submit weekly lists of used spares and brake pads/linings to the Transport Admin Assistant
