    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensuring that all Board vehicles are maintained in pristine and roadworthy condition.
    • Providing professional driving services for Board members and staff when required.
    • Assisting in the coordination of fleet vehicle bookings for employees.
    • Efficiently delivering packages to designated locations.
    • Collecting, sorting, and distributing both internal and external mail, including registered correspondence.
    • Providing general administrative support, which may include filing, organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and drafting minutes.
    • Assisting in asset stock counts, where applicable.
    • Performing reception duties, such as handling phone calls and ensuring the reception area remains organized.
    • Systematically maintaining archived documents to ensure easy retrieval when needed.

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
    • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in office administration.
    • A valid Code B (manual) driver’s license.
    • A minimum of two years of actual driving experience, with a clean driving record.

    Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

    • Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that all administrative and logistical duties are performed meticulously.

    Work Environment and Conditions

    This is a permanent, full-time Office Assistant position that requires the selected candidate to work from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday. The role is based at the Board’s office in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, and applicants should be comfortable working in an office-based environment.
