    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates applying for the Personal Assistant: Human Resources position must meet the following criteria:

    • Educational Qualifications:
      • A matric certificate is essential.
      • A qualification in Secretarial Administration, such as a Secretarial (Cert Adm) or Secretarial (Dip Adm), or a similar qualification.
      • An NQF Level 4-6 Further Education and Training Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
    • Experience:
      • A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in a similar environment.
    • Additional Requirements:
      • A valid driver’s license.
      • Strong interpersonal relations skills to foster good working relationships.

    Core Responsibilities

    The primary duties of the Personal Assistant: Human Resources include:

    1. Secretarial and Administrative Support:
      • Managing clerical and administrative tasks to support the Head of Department in their daily responsibilities.
    2. Governance and Risk Management:
      • Implementing governance protocols to maintain high compliance standards in the office of the HoD.
      • Minimizing risk through adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
    3. Financial Processes:
      • Ensuring compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).
      • Preventing financial losses by following sound financial management practices.
    4. Activity Coordination:
      • Overseeing activities within the office of the HoD to ensure alignment with customer service goals.
      • Promoting a positive culture that values ethical conduct, builds strong relationships, and enhances customer satisfaction.

    Location and Remuneration

    The position is located in the City of Ekurhuleni, a vibrant metropolitan area that values professional excellence and employee well-being.
