    Requirements:

    • Educational Qualifications:
      • Advanced diploma or degree in Nature Conservation or equivalent (NQF 7).
      • Postgraduate degree or equivalent at NQF 8 is advantageous.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 4 years in Conservation and Estate Management.
    • Required Competencies:
      • Extensive experience in nature-based tourism.
      • Strong corporate governance and management skills.
      • Expertise in urban conservation and wildland fires.
      • Deep understanding of national and global biodiversity conservation.
      • Knowledge of legislation related to biodiversity conservation.
      • Proficiency in managing organizational finances.
      • Project management skills.
      • Familiarity with human resources, procurement, and financial management policies.
      • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
      • Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
      • Capability to work with diverse teams under pressure while maintaining quality, cost, and safety standards.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • High level of computer literacy, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, and Outlook).
      • Valid driver’s license with at least one year of practical driving experience and willingness to travel.

    Key Performance Responsibilities:

    • Oversee estate and biodiversity management.
    • Ensure effective maintenance of facilities.
    • Manage the production of compost and mulch.
    • Develop and manage human resources services.
    • Support and manage safety and risk management services within the unit.
