    Responsibilities:

    • Project Leadership: Provide effective leadership to project teams, guiding the implementation of Data and AI architectures.
    • Feasibility Analysis: Conduct feasibility and cost-benefit analyses, including selecting application architectures to enhance the development process.
    • System Design & Integration: Lead the design, development, customization, and integration of complex systems.
    • Data Architecture Management: Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems across the organization.
    • Reusable Assets: Design and drive the creation of reusable assets to enhance Analytics and DevOps capabilities.
    • Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement strategies for technology lifecycle management and create tender specifications.

    Qualifications:

    • Educational Background: Minimum 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science (NQF Level 6 or equivalent).
    • Experience: 8-9 years of practical experience in ICT, including IT Governance, IT Planning, system development/procurement, implementation, and maintenance of integrated solutions. Extensive experience in software development, technical solution design, integration, and data management.

    Preferred Experience:

    • DevOps & Agile: Experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies.
    • Applications Modernization: Experience in modernizing applications and delivering Data & AI solutions.
    • Business Technology Solutions: Experience in providing technology solutions to client organizations.

    Knowledge Requirements:

    • ICT Governance & Compliance: Knowledge of ICT governance, compliance, and the software development process.
    • Programming & Integration: Proficiency in programming languages, development, implementation, and integration methodologies.
    • IT Quality Management: Understanding of IT quality management, business process management, and general management practices.
    • Security & Standards: Knowledge of IT security, ICT standards, and both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Open Source Software (OSS) products.
    • Enterprise Architecture: Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
    • Cloud & DevOps: Comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing, source control tools (e.g., Git, SVN), and DevOps practices.
    • AI & Data Tools: Experience with data and AI tools such as Azure Storage, Stream Analytics, CosmosDB, Azure Databricks, and others.
