    Working with an award-winning team, you will be responsible for producing engaging, platform-specific social media content and managing a growing community. Your role will involve close collaboration with both editorial and commercial teams to brainstorm and execute content ideas across various platforms.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conceptualize, plan, and manage all social media channels in line with the editorial vision of the brand and client.
    • Develop and adapt creative social media strategies in collaboration with the Head of Digital and Online Editor.
    • Write engaging copy in the TASTE tone-of-voice.
    • Ensure content is free of typos, grammatical errors, and factual inaccuracies by working with the copy editor.
    • Build and manage communities on platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
    • Respond strategically to comments and participate in relevant food conversations.
    • Work with the Woolworths social team to manage collaborations and crises.
    • Align social media activities with the brand’s goals and campaigns.
    • Monitor, track, and analyze social media performance using relevant tools.
    • Provide regular feedback to the team and recommend improvements.
    • Stay updated with the latest social media trends and best practices.
    • Conduct audience research and identify relevant influencers.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Educational Background:
      • Applicable degree-level tertiary education.
    • Experience:
      • 3-5 years of experience managing a brand’s social media accounts.
      • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
    • Skills:
      • Excellent copywriting skills.
      • Creative thinking and an eye for design.
      • Strong planning and organizational skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
      • Sound judgment and pressure resilience.
    • Additional Knowledge:
      • Experience with content management systems.
      • Knowledge of the South African food landscape is a plus.
