Marketing Copy Editor Job Description
Intelligent Debt Management (IDM) is on the hunt for an insightful, motivated, and technically-savvy Marketing Copy Editor to join our expanding team in Cape Town. This role requires a candidate who excels in editing content with grammatical precision, accuracy, clarity, simplicity, and brevity, all while adhering strictly to our style guides and corporate guidelines. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience editing B2B and B2C financial copy and will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Editing: Edit content across all channels and brands, including long-form articles, web pages, news releases, scripts, social media posts, Google and Meta ads, rewards programme material, and extensive email campaigns. Ensure:
- Factual accuracy
- Grammatical excellence
- Adherence to client briefs (format, length, suitability for purpose, target audience appeal)
- Consistency with brand tone, style guide, and CI (Corporate Identity)
- Mentoring: Upskill and mentor junior writers, score articles, and provide constructive feedback.
