1. Senior Education Specialist: Engineering Studies (PL3)

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification, plus a professional education qualification.
- Minimum of five years of relevant lecturing experience, including at least two years in a management or supervisory role within the TVET environment.
- Qualified artisan in a relevant engineering trade is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, motivational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed leadership, organizational, planning, and management skills.
- Excellent report writing skills and computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license and SACE registration.
- Knowledge of legislative frameworks governing TVET Colleges.
Duties:
- Coordinate and verify student prelims, ensure accurate information capture, and secure storage of application forms.
- Train and orient academic staff on academic programs.
- Monitor assessments, subject files, and special inquiries during registration.
- Oversee examination and assessment cycles in collaboration with the Campus Manager.
- Maintain academic-related facilities and manage textbooks and teaching resources.
- Determine staff development needs and ensure minimal disruption to academic programs.
- Organize and implement moderation and assessment processes according to policies.
- Participate in IQMS processes and Academic Board meetings.
2. Education Specialist (PL2) – Three Positions

- Barberton Campus: Fundamental Studies (Ref: EHL36/2024)

- Barberton Campus: Business Studies – Report 191 (Ref: EHL38/2024)
Requirements:
- Appropriate Degree or National Diploma, plus a professional teaching qualification.
- At least three years of lecturing experience in the TVET sector.
- Qualified assessor and moderator.
- Registered with SACE.
- Extensive knowledge of Report 191 and NCV programs.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and diversity management skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Duties:
- Assist with student recruitment, registration, and induction.
- Facilitate academic and career development for students.
- Prepare and present lessons according to the college’s academic plan and quality management system.
- Coordinate procurement of training resources and provide curriculum guidance.
- Implement and monitor policies affecting learning delivery, including examination and certification.
- Create a conducive learning environment and manage classroom discipline.
- Liaise with lecturers and student support officers for student interventions.
- Assess students, maintain ICASS and ISAT records, and facilitate textbook distribution.
- Manage student performance, work-based experience, and department operations.
