Requirements
Curro Bankenveld is searching for a dedicated English Home Language Teacher who meets the following criteria:
- Academic Qualifications: A relevant academic qualification in education from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience in teaching English HL at the secondary school level.
- Professional Registration: Current registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
- Assessment and Curriculum Knowledge: Experience with the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) will be a significant advantage.
- Character and Conduct: A clear criminal record is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of teaching and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, control, record, and report on assessments. Create and maintain an educational atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
- Collaboration and Professional Development: Attend meetings, forums, and workshops pertinent to the grades and phase. Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth functioning of the grades/phase.
- Classroom and Resource Management: Take responsibility for school equipment and stock allocated to the class. Promote discipline and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Manage, plan, assist, and promote extracurricular activities, including sports and cultural events, to foster a well-rounded educational experience.
