Key Responsibilities:
As a Fire Fighter 11, your duties will encompass a range of critical tasks to ensure public safety and efficient operation within the municipality. These duties include:
- Firefighting Activities: Responding to fires and emergency situations.
- Fire and Life Safety Training and Preparation: Conducting and participating in training exercises.
- Maintenance Functions: Maintaining vehicles, equipment, and the fire station.
- Administrative Functions: Managing necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Apparatus and Machinery Operation: Operating firefighting and rescue equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 12.
- Certification: IFSAC Accredited NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter 11 Certification.
- Additional Training: Hazmat Operational/Fire Rescue and First Aid Level 3.
- Licensing: Valid Code C driver’s license.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Fire Service Operational experience.

Salary
The position offers a competitive salary on the T8 scale, with an estimated total cost to company (CTC) of R362,552.00 per annum.
