    Key Responsibilities

    The HR Generalist will work closely with our management team to ensure that HR processes run smoothly and effectively. Here’s what the role involves:

    1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
      • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and requirements.
      • Post job openings on multiple platforms to reach a diverse candidate pool.
      • Conduct initial screenings, phone and in-person interviews to shortlist candidates.
    2. Onboarding & Orientation
      • Manage the entire onboarding process, ensuring new hires are welcomed effectively.
      • Facilitate orientation sessions, introducing new team members to company policies, culture, and expectations.
    3. Training & Development
      • Develop and implement training programs across all levels to foster employee growth.
      • Identify training needs and work with department heads to provide tailored development opportunities.
    4. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution
      • Act as the go-to person for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
      • Address employee concerns, investigate complaints, and recommend solutions that align with company policies and promote a positive work culture.
    5. Performance Management
      • Support managers in managing performance reviews, goal-setting, and ongoing feedback.
      • Provide guidance on addressing performance issues and ensure all performance management practices are in line with company policies.
    6. Compliance & Legal Regulations
      • Ensure adherence to all labor laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
      • Stay updated with HR best practices and employment laws to maintain compliance and minimize risk.

    Key Qualifications & Skills Required

    To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a mix of relevant education, experience, and skills, particularly in the retail sector. Here’s what we’re looking for:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience: 3+ years in HR, preferably within the retail industry, with a deep understanding of HR best practices.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to handle complex employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of Employment Law: Familiarity with local and national labor laws, with an emphasis on compliance.
    • Certification: SHRM certification is advantageous but not required.
    • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
