    Key Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of the Maintenance Coordinator include but are not limited to:

    1. Developing Annual Maintenance Plans
      Crafting and managing comprehensive maintenance plans to align with the overarching asset management strategy of the organization.
    2. Overseeing Maintenance Execution
      Scheduling and supervising maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion while adhering to the company’s high standards of quality and efficiency.
    3. Coordinating Maintenance Activities
      Leading various maintenance operations, including:
      • Statutory inspections.
      • Shutdown planning.
      • Allocation of non-urgent work.
    4. Asset Care Plan Management
      Regularly updating and maintaining accurate asset care plans within the On Key system.
    5. Conducting Over-Inspections
      Reviewing critical maintenance tasks to ensure they meet operational expectations and gathering feedback to refine future processes.
    6. Monitoring Maintenance KPIs
      Tracking key performance indicators to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement within the maintenance workflow.
    7. Ensuring Compliance with SHE Standards
      Promoting adherence to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) guidelines, participating in audits, and addressing safety concerns proactively.

    Qualifications and Experience

    To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

    • Educational Background:
      • A Matric certificate is required.
      • A National Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or an NQF5 qualification in planning is highly beneficial.
    • Professional Experience:
      • A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing setting or in a planning/coordinator role is essential.
