Medical Claims Administrator Job Description
The primary goal of this role is to ensure that medical claims are processed efficiently and in full compliance with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA). As a Medical Claims Administrator, you will be responsible for managing registered claims, ensuring that assessments are carried out correctly, and that claims are administered smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and assess medical claims registered under the COID Act.
- Ensure effective and efficient management of all registered claims.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims processed.
- Use functional computer literacy skills to manage claims data efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with claimants and internal teams to ensure that claims are resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to company policies and COID Act regulations to ensure compliance.
- Support other team members in the Claims Department as required.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiography, or an equivalent medical qualification.
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Nursing Council, Physiotherapy Board, etc.).
- Experience: At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related medical or administrative environment.
- Skills: Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, functional computer literacy, and strong communication abilities.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in more than one language is an advantage.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) and the workings of workers’ compensation claims is a significant advantage.
