    Professional Nurse Job Purpose

    Anova is seeking an Outreach Professional Nurse to deliver high-quality HIV Testing Services (HTS) in local communities. This role involves managing and operating a mobile clinic to ensure that health services reach those in need. The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with a dedication to outreach and community health.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Transport and Logistics

    • Mobile Clinic Management: Safely manage and operate the mobile clinic, ensuring the safe transit of staff and equipment to outreach sites.
    • Equipment Handling: Load, unload, and maintain outreach equipment (e.g., chairs, tents, generators).
    • Vehicle Management: Adhere to Anova’s vehicle policy and maintain compliance with South Africa’s National Road Traffic Act.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain fuel, mileage, and maintenance records, submitting a weekly vehicle inspection checklist.

    Outreach Support

    • HTS Service Delivery: Conduct HTS following the National HIV Counselling and Testing guidelines.
    • Client Linkage to Care: Ensure clients who test positive for HIV are referred to the nearest facilities and initiate ART (antiretroviral therapy) for newly diagnosed individuals.
    • Resource Management: Safeguard HTS supplies and handle them according to protocol.
    • Community Engagement: Encourage PWUD to seek healthcare services and provide ongoing education on HIV, STI screenings, and treatment.
    • Supply Management: Assist in the management and secure storage of testing supplies in the mobile clinic.

    Administrative Support
