Position Overview
The role of the Registered Nurse at Intercare Waterstone Medical & Dental Centre is centered around delivering exceptional nursing care that strictly aligns with the guidelines and regulations established by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assisting medical practitioners with pre-screening, treatment, and ongoing care of patients.
- Emergency Prioritization: Supporting the medical reception team in addressing urgent medical emergencies.
- Stock and Equipment Maintenance: Actively managing stock processes and maintaining the emergency trolley in line with company procedures.
- Drug Regulation Compliance: Ensuring adherence to Department of Health regulations concerning Schedule 5 and higher drug registers.
- Medical Waste Disposal: Handling the disposal of medical waste and human tissue in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Facility Operations: Assuming responsibility for opening and closing the branch.
- Customer Relations: Addressing customer complaints effectively and escalating matters to the Practice Manager as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Grade 12 certificate and a Diploma/Degree in Nursing leading to qualification as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ supervisory experience (advantageous).
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer skills.
- Active SANC Registration as a Registered Nurse.
Working Hours
The position follows standard daytime hours, including weekends and public holidays, without requiring night shifts.
